JUI-F leader escapes assassination attempt in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: Maulana Mian Muhammad Hussain Jalali, a provincial leader of Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, remained safe in a gun attack on the outskirts of Peshawar.
According to our correspondent, the JUI leader was travelling in his car when unidentified gunmen fired shots on his vehicle from behind.
Police said Maulana Jalali remained unhurt in the attack.
Maulana Jalali is younger brother of JUI-F’s former senator Hussain Al Hashmi. He has also the party’s candidate from NA-16, Hangu.
Police reached the scene and kicked off investigation into the attack.
