Islamabad to be made most beautiful city of the world: CDA

ISLAMABAD: Mayor Islamabad and Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Sheikh Ansar Aziz Wednesday said Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) was taking concrete steps to make Islamabad the most beautiful city of the world.

He was talking to Austrian Ambassador to Pakistan Lucas Bachmayer, who called on him here at the CDA headquarters.

He said for the first time in the history of federal capital, the responsibility of the city's development had been entrusted to the elected representatives.

He informed the visiting dignitary about tourism and investment opportunity in Islamabad.

Sheikh Ansar said the MCI was resolving long standing issues of the residents.

Development activities all around the city were being carried out with any discrimination, he said.

He said road carpeting of Diplomatic Enclave had been completed and steps were being taken to further beautify it.

Austrian Ambassador said Islamabad was the most beautiful city of the World.

He said Islamabad was known for its natural beauty and its lush green character.

He thanked the mayor of Islamabad and CDA chairman on behalf of diplomatic community residing in Islamabad. (APP)
