Islamabad High Court gives a blow to Nawaz Sharif

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court on Monday dismissed the Nawaz Sharif requests to club all cases National Accountability Bureau (NAB) against him.

The two-member bench, comprising Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani, heard the pleas and they reserved the verdict on November 23.

As the court proceedings begin Justice Aamer read out the short order today, and a detailed order will be issued later.

The former premier Nawaz Sharif is facing three corruption references in the accountability court which were filed by NAB in light of the Supreme Court’s July 28 verdict in the Panama Papers case.

The accountability court on November 8 had again dismissed Nawaz’s plea seeking the clubbing of three references into one, which was later challenged in the IHC.
