Ishaq Dar breaks silence over 'Dawn Leaks' report

ISLAMABAD: Federal government has broken the silence over the much hyped issue of the Dawn Leaks report.
Finance Minister Ishaq Dar on Wednesday said the report of Dawn leaks inquiry commission would be made available to public unlike Hamoodur Rehman and Abbottabad Commission reports.
Speaking at Geo News talk-show Capital Talk, the finance czar of the PML-N government said the probe commission could not be influenced since it is headed by an honorable judge and its members include representative of intelligence agencies.
Dar, a senior cabinet member and a close aide to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, took an exception to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan for his relentless criticism of the government and went on to call Panama Papers a drama.
The minister said Imran Khan who demands implementation of article 62, 63 of the constitution should himself undergo a DNA test to see whether he fulfills the qualifications specified in the articles.
The minister also denied the impression that prices of edible items have increased.
Ishaq Dar rejected Imran Khan’s claim that the government and the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) have struck a deal.
