ISLAMABAD:

Federal government has decided to contest the Panama JIT report in the Supreme Court of Pakistan.

This was stated by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar in a press conference today in Islamabad along with Federal Minister for Railways Saad Rafique.

Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has said that experts and professionals of the government have found several loopholes in the report the JIT has submitted to the Supreme Court.

“Prime Minister’s legal team is going through the report,” Dar told media personnel in Islamabad following a high level huddle of the party. “It has several loopholes and errors and has relied on documents of generated nature.”

Due these errors, the report has become unreadable at some point, he said, adding “we will highlight these error before the apex court.”
