Iranian President arrived in Pakistan on his two-day official visit
ISLAMABAD: Iranian President Hasan Rouhani has arrived in Pakistan on his two-day official visit here at Friday. President Rouhani was welcomed by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif upon his arrival at Noor Khan Airbase.

 

As per details, distinguished guest was presented 21-gun salute by Pakistani government while Advisor to PM Nawaz Sharif  on foreign affairs Sartaj Aziz, Tariq Fatemi, federal minister Zahid Hamid and other high officials were also present at the occasion to welcome Iranian President.

 

Iranian delegation consisted of ministers, traders and high officials who accompanied Hasan Rouhani.

 

PM Nawaz and President Rouhani held meeting in PM House and discussed bilateral ties of both countries. Both dignitaries exchanged views on Pak-Iran Gas Pipeline project as well as regional situation in the meeting. Speaking at the occasion, PM said that Pakistan os desirous to further enhance bilateral ties with Iran while both countries trade ties will further improve after lifting sanctions against Iran.

 

Later, both countries delegations held meetings to discuss the bilateral ties of two countries in different fields. Several MOUs will be signed between Iran and Pakistan during the visit of President Rouhani.

 

It is worthy to mention here that it is the first ever visit of President Rouhani to Pakistan.
