IOK HCBA condemns formation of extremist Hindus private army

ISLAMABAD: The High Court Bar Association while condemning the formation of extremist Hindus' private army, Jana Seva, by a priest in Kanpur to fight Kashmiri `stone pelter' boys, has asked the peace-loving people of the world to take strong notice of the move.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the Bar Association in a statement issued in Srinagar also urged the international community to play its role in defeating the designs of these communal and fascist elements.

The statement said that these extremists would try to enter Kashmir in one way or the other to join hands with ruthless Indian forces to kill, blind and maim the people of Kashmir.

The Bar Association condemned the organized attack on a hapless nomad family in Reasi by certain goons of BJP and RSS, who in the name of protecting the cows, not only gave them a thrashing but also demolished their shelter and took away their cattle, which they had reared for years together and was the sole source of income.

The Bar also condemned the beating and torturing of a 70-year-old Gujjar man by an unruly mob, inside a police station in the presence of police. The statement denounced the thrashing of school-going children by ruthless forces in Pulwama and Shopian.

The High Court Bar Association criticized the authorities for re-arresting senior APHC leader, Masarrat Aalam Butt, who despite having been granted bail has not been released. (APP)
