WASHINGTON: After 13 years of Iraq invasion, United States has admitted that invasion of Iraq was a strategic mistake.
Nominated for secretary of state by US President-elect Donald Trump General James Mattis had called the 2003 invasion of Iraq a ‘strategic mistake’, US media reported.
The intercept quoting an earlier interview of Gen Mattis in which he said, “Ladies and gentlemen … we will probably look back on the invasion of Iraq as a mistake — as a strategic mistake.”
