Indo Pak journalists urge for bilateral dialogues between the two to resolve conflicts

ISLAMABAD: A meeting of senior journalists from India and Pakistan was held for the 17th round of Chaophraya Dialogue in Islamabad. It is a long- running Indo- Pak Track- II which is jointly organized by Jinnah Institute and Australia- India Institute since 2008. Journalist from both sides expressed their views over the recent meeting of PM Nawaz and PM Modi in Paris on the occasion of climate change summit. Both sides’ journalists expressed their hope that this could lead to a revival of bilateral dialogue. They also welcomed the Sushma Swaraj’s decision to attend the Heart of Asia conference which is going to be held in Islamabad on December 8. In a joint statement released at the end of the two- day dialogue, the participants urge that India and Pakistan should create friendly relations. Both countries should resolve their issues through dialogue. The participants also emphasized to increase the cultural exchanges, people to people contacts between both countries.
