India’s despotic, colonial approach can’t change realities in Kashmir: Gilani

ISLAMABAD: The Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Syed Ali Gilani has said that despite exhausting all military might over the past seven decades, India has failed to alter the discourse on Kashmir dispute and its continuous denial has not caused any harm to the nature of the dispute.
Syed Ali Gilani in a statement in Srinagar said, "Their colonial and despotic approach won't change the historical realities about Kashmir issue nor can they break our resolve or make us to budge," KMS reported.
Rejecting any bilateral talks, Gilani said, "Dialogues either between India and Pakistan or Delhi and Srinagar are futile exercises unless Kashmir issue is resolved through UN resolutions."
"Indian leadership employed all its measures and failed to lure people, as people at no time bargained for their cherished aspiration," he said.
Commenting on the submissive approach of PDP for securing favors from Delhi and consequent refusal for dialogue by Jan Sangh leadership, Gilani said, "This has least affected the legitimacies about Kashmir tangle."
"We will never beg for talks. However, PDP is strained and feel no shame as they are desperate to save their face," he added.
Referring to Delhi's Kashmir policy, Gilani said, "They failed and it is because of their unrealistic approach, situation in Kashmir is worsening with each passing day." (APP)
