Indian Forces intensive shelling in Occupied Kashmir over women, children

In Occupied Kashmir, over one hundred people including girls were injured when Indian forces used brute force during a massive siege and search operation in Shopian district on Wednesday.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Indian troops cordoned off the Heff Shirmal area barged into the houses and thrashed residents.

People took to the streets in the area and staged forceful demonstrations.

Indian troops fired bullets and pellets to disperse the protesters injuring dozens of people.

Meanwhile, hundreds of students in Srinagar and Hajin areas staged forceful protests against the arrest of students across the Kashmir Valley. They raised anti-India and pro-freedom slogans.

Indian police and troops resorted to teargas shelling to disperse the protesting students, injuring several of them.

The Hurriyet forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq organized a seminar in Srinagar in connection with the Martyrdom Week to pay homage to prominent martyred Hurriyet leaders, Mirwaiz Molvi Muhammad Farooq, Khawaja Abdul Ghani Lone and others martyrs of Hawal.

Speakers including resistance leaders Muhammad Yasin Malik, Professor Abdul Ghani Butt deplored that India is using brutal tactics to suppress the Kashmiris' ongoing freedom movement.

Meanwhile, the joint resistance leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik has given a call for peaceful protests on Friday against slapping of draconian law, Public Safety Act and illegally detaining the iling Chairperson of Dukhtaran-e-Millat, Aasiya Andrabi.
