India-US ink MoUs including Terrorism and Maritime Security

WASHINGTON: India and US signed several agreements to boost bilateral ties including terrorism and climate change.

 

India-US signed Terrorism Screening agreement between Indian Multi-Agency Centre/Intelligence Bureau and US Terrorist Screening Centre to boost counter-terrorism between both countries.

 

Both countries also agreed to enhance cooperation on Energy security, Clean Energy and Climate Change to promote bilateral sustainable growth.

 

India-US signed MoU to enhance cooperation in Wildlife Conservation and to combat Wildlife Trafficking.

 

MoU between India’s Ministry of External Affairs and US Department of Homeland Security signed to initiate the Global Entry Programme with US Customs and Border Protection to promote automatic entry for Indian travelers in US.

 

A technical agreement between Indian Navy and the US Navy signed to enhance cooperation and to share maritime information.

 

An agreement between India’s Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas and US Department of Energy signed to deal with geological occurrence, distribution and production of natural gas hydrates.

 

Both countries also agreed to enhance cooperation in defence, mutual logistic support and sharing information and data specific to aircraft carrier technology.
