NEW DELHI: Attacking Prime Minister Narendra Modi for undertaking a trip to United States of America which yielded little benefits for India, the Communist Party of India (Marxist) politburo members said on Wednesday said the joint statement issued by PM Modi and US President Trump only "reconfirmed India's status as a subordinate ally of the USA."
Alleging that the concerns over the status of H-1B visas, which are crucial for lakhs of Indian youth and the IT industry, and the racial attacks on Indians in the US, were not discussed, the CPM politburo also said US's withdrawal from the Paris climate change commitments was also not raised by Modi during his meeting with the American president.
