India denies entry visa to 75 Pakistani pilgrims aspiring to visit shrine near Agra

NEW DELHI: India once again denied entry visa to 75 Pakistani pilgrims intending to visit shrine of Hafiz Abdullah Shah near Agra, India.

The Visa denial has emerged on the technical and procedure grounds by the immigration authorities.

Indian officials claimed that under the Principles of Protocol on visits to the Religious Shrines, 1974, an organisation committee of the locals was required to make arrangements and accommodate the visiting Pilgrims but in this case no local was ready to host the incoming pilgrims.

Pakistani officials in the mission were feeling disappointed over the decision of Indian authorities and termed it against the vision of the leadership of the both countries and a violation of the 1974 agreement between the two countries.
