Imran Khan unleashes plan for Pakistan cricket overhaul

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan's legendry cricketer Imran Khan has reacted over the disgraceful defeat of Pakistan cricket team at the hands of India in their first encounter in the ICC Champions Trophy.

Imran Khan said that it was painful to watch Pakistan being thrashed by India without putting up a fight.

Khan’s remarks came shortly after India thrashed Pakistan by 124 runs under D/L method in a one-side contest. Chasing 289 to win, Pakistan were all out for 164.

“As a sportsman I know winning & losing are part of the game but it’s painful to watch Pak being thrashed by India without putting up a fight,” said Khan in a series of tweets shortly after Pakistan’s dismal show.

Khan said unless Pakistan cricket structure is totally revamped/reformed, despite an abundance of talent the gap between Pak and India will keep increasing

“And we will keep facing disappointment by defeats such as the one today,” he said.

The former cricket legend warned that Pakistan cannot be fixed if the Chairman of the PCB is not appointed on professional merit.
