Imran Khan disqualification case to be heard in Supreme Court

ISLAMABAD – Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP) is set to resume hearing of disqualification case against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan on July 11 and notices have been issued to the litigants.

Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Saqib Nisar is to lead the three-member bench that is set to hear the case against PTI chief.

The hearing was adjourned on June 14 until after Eid-ul-Fitr vacation over Naeem Bukhari and bench’s unavailability. Haneef Abbasi, leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) had petitioned the top court alleging Khan of having concealed his assets to evade tax, misrepresent the facts and obtain funds from prohibited means.
