Imran Khan disqualification case heard in ECP

ISLAMABAD – Imran Khan disqualification case is being heard in the Election Commission of Pakistan and as well as in the Supreme Court of Pakistan.

The Election Commission of Pakistan on Wednesday adjourned the hearing of a petition seeking disqualification of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan and party’s Secretary General Jahangir Tareen.

A five-member bench of the ECP, headed by Chief Election Commissioner Sardar Raza Khan resumed hearing of the petition filed by Hashim Ali Bhutta.

During the petition, CEC remarked that a similar petition is being heard in the apex court against Imran Khan and hearing in the apex court will affect the proceedings in the ECP.

The tribunal adjourned the case hearing until August 21.
