Has Imran Khan accepted PCB’s invitation for PSL final

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan was sent an invitation to watch the PSL 2017 final at Gaddafi Stadium by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Saturday.
Imran Khan refused to accept the invitation while thanking PCB Chairman Shahryar Khan. He said that he could not come to watch the match between Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators but wishes for its success and safety.
Earlier, PSL Chairman Najam Sethi had told that they had sent invitations to Imran Khan four times. They want him to burry the hatchet and join them for this memorable evening. The PTI Chief had opposed the idea of holding PSL Lahore final while calling it "madness" and considered it a security risk.
He expressed best wishes for players and hopes that the cricket lovers will witness an exciting contest. However, his political ally and leader of Awami Muslim League (Sheikh Rasheed) has taken the train to Lahore and is all pumped up to see the match with other spectators.
Also, many other politicians are expected to appear in the PSL 2 final match at Gaddafi Stadium.
