Imported Cars, Mobile phones prices to increase in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD - Government has increased the import duty on 300 items.The decision to increase the tax on imported items has been taken in a meeting of Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) presided over by Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi in Islamabad here the other day.
Prices of imported items including cars, mobile phones, shampoo, tiles, tires, readymade garments, petroleum products and other items would increase after the imposition of the regulatory duty.
A notification in this regard will be issued in next week.
