Haqqani network commander death in US drone strike still unconfirmed

KABUL: Afghan media claimed that a senior member of Haqqani Network was killed in a US drone strike in Afghanistan’s Paktika province.
As per report, the killed one named Sirajuddin Khademi was a member of Haqqani Network and Quetta Shura who provides logistic support to the militants.
Afghan police official Assadullah Sherzad revealed that Khademi was targeted with another person and destroyed their weapons.
Haqqani Network is affiliated with al-Qaeda and Afghan Taliban and also provide assistance to regional terrorist groups.
Sources also revealed that some civilians were also killed in the attack.
However neither Taliban nor the haqqani network has yet confirmed the death of its commander in the US drone strike .
