To a question, the Minister informed the house that yarn production in the country has increased by 1.35 percent and cloth by 0.21 percent during the last three years.
He said the government if facilitating the farmers and this year the growers of cotton and rice have received good return for their produce.
The National Assembly today unanimously passed "The Companies Bill, 2016".
The Bill provides to reform and re-enact the law relating to companies and related matters.
The Bill was moved by Law Minister Zahid Hamid.
Speaking on the Bill Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said that the Bill has been prepared in line with the best international practices. He thanked all the stakeholders for their cooperation in finalization of the Bill.
The Finance Minister said that work is also underway on the electoral reforms. He said the final report of the Committee on Electoral Reforms will be presented in the house during the next session.
The National Assembly also passed "The Criminal Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2016".
The bill provides to amend certain laws.
The Bill was moved by Parliamentary Secretary Finance Rana Muhammad Afzal Khan.
The National Assembly passed "The Pakistan Air Force (Amendment) Bill 2016".
The bill provides to amend the Pakistan Air Force Act, 1953.
The Bill was moved by LAW Minister Zahid Hamid.
The National Assembly today passed a unanimous resolution extending solidarity with the Kashmiri brethren of Occupied Kashmir in their just struggle for their right to self-determination in lines with the United Nations Security Council resolutions.
The resolution moved by Minister for Kashmir Affair Barjees Tahir extended political, moral and diplomatic support to the Kashmiris in the just struggle.
The resolution rejected the ridiculous Indian claim that Kashmir is an integral part of India as it itself took the issue to the United Nations as a dispute between the two sovereign states.
The resolution condemned the human rights violations perpetrated by India forces in Held Kashmir resulting in martyrdom of thousands of Kashmiris. It described the use of pellet guns to deliberately blind unarmed Kashmiris a clear violation of the international conventions.
It saluted the valiant Kashmiris for continuing their struggle for their right to self-determination as promised by the United Nations.
The resolution stated that the draconian laws and recurring curfew in Occupied Kashmir has made the lives of Kashmiris miserable and described it as against the international human rights conventions.
The resolution deplored continuous silence of the international community on the ongoing violations perpetrated by the Indian forces in Occupied Kashmir.
The resolution called upon the United Nations Security Council to take concrete steps for implementation of its resolutions for granting right to self-determination to the Kashmiris.
It called upon the international community to take notice of the gravity of the situation and urge India to respect human rights and right to self-determination.
The resolution called upon the United Nations Military Observer Group in Pakistan and India to fulfill its mandated task.
The members of the House today strongly condemned the human rights violations perpetrated by the Indian forces in Occupied Kashmir.
Taking part in a discussion on the Kashmir issue, the members said that India cannot suppress the voice of the Kashmiris through the use of brute force. They said that the sacrifices of the Kashmiris will not go waste and a day will dawn when Kashmir will be liberated from Indian bondage.
They called upon the United Nations and the international community to play their role to stop India from human rights violations in Occupied Kashmir.
They said that the Kashmiris should be granted right to self-determination and plebiscite should be held in Kashmir as promised by the United Nations.
