Our govt was not allowed to work freely: Nawaz Sharif

ISLAMABAD: Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has on Wednesday said that the government was not allowed to work freely.

Talking to media at the Judicial Complex, he said that the court judgment against them come too early in their cases.

Sharif went on to say that despite frequent sit-ins, the PML-N government took forward the country on the path of development.

Taking a jibe at his opponents, Sharif said that spreading lies and anarchy is Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) belief.

“There should not be double standards in dispensation of justice,” he said.

The former premier also accused the courts of having lenient attitude towards the PTI chairman Imran Khan, adding that corruption scandals of the PTI were also coming out.
