Global Cyber Attack: US NSA leaked hacking tool played havoc

WASHINGTON: According to a report on Sunday,US President Donald Trump ordered homeland security adviser Tom Bossert to hold emergency meetings after a ransomware attack spread around the globe.
Senior security staffers with DHS, the FBI and NSA met on Friday and Saturday in the white house to assess the threat from the cyber attack that struck computers in 150 countries, citing sources.
NSA created the hacking tool that was leaked online and used in the ransomware attack.
The head of European Union police agency said the cyber assault affected 200,000 victims and could grow when businesses return to work on Monday, Reuters said.
