General John Nicholson appointed as US Forces commander in Afghanistan

General John Nicholson appointed as US Forces commander in Afghanistan
KABUL:  Pentagon had declared that Army Lieutenant General John Mick Nicholson will be the Commander of NATO forces in Afghanistan.

 

Nicholson will replace General John Campbell who is leading allied forces in Afghanistan since mid of 2014.

 

Nicholson had served in high profile roles in Army and as Deputy commanding general for Afghanistan operations from 2010-2012.

 

Nicholson vowed to play his role effectively to eradicate menace of terrorism for the stability of region.

 

US officials believe that Nicholson understands his responsibility and will complete mission wisely.
