French election: Macron resolves to battle against threat of nationalists

PARIS: Pro-Europe Emmanuel Macron vowed Sunday to battle the "threat of nationalists" after result projections showed him reaching the runoff in France's presidential election along with far-right leader Marine Le Pen.
"I want to be the president of the patriots against the threat of nationalists," the 39-year-old former banker told cheering supporters. (APP)
