FIA probe over PSL spot fixing scandal irks Najam Sethi

ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar on Tuesday stated that Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) would never ask for any permission from the PCB to investigate corruption in PSL.

The Interior Minister believes that any malpractice defaming the country was open to inquiry by the federally administered institution. The FIA officials aim to resolve the matter.

It appears as if Nisar has responded to the claims made by Pakistan Super League (PSL) Chairman Najam Sethi who earlier stated that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had never asked FIA.

“Rather than accusing one another, we should cooperate to dig into the matter. I will personally talk to Najam Sethi”, Nisar added.
