Federal cabinet strongly condemns unprovoked firing by Indian troops on LOC

The Cabinet offered Fateha for the martyrs of Kurram Agency Blast on Sunday and the martyrs of terrorist attack in Quetta.

 

A meeting of federal cabinet was held in Islamabad on Wednesday with Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi in the chair.

 

The Cabinet strongly condemned unprovoked firing by Indian security forces across Line of Control wounding innocent civilians including women and children.

The Cabinet offered Fateha for the martyrs of Kurram Agency Blast on Sunday and the martyrs of terrorist attack in Quetta.

 

The Cabinet expressed deep appreciation for Finance Minister Ishaq Dar for his extraordinary role in achieving 10-year high growth rate of 5.3 percent in financial year 2017 which was endorsed and acknowledged by the World Bank in its recent statement.

 

The Cabinet approved appointment of Peshawar High Court judge Justice Musarrat Hilali as the Judge Special Appellate Court Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

It approved notifying of Pakistan Mortgage Refinance Company Limited as Development Financial Institution.

 

The meeting ratified various decisions of the Economic Coordination Committee the Cabinet taken during its meeting held on 6th of this month.

 

The Cabinet also approved signing of Inter-Governmental Agreement on supply of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) between Pakistan and Malaysia.
