Edhi Foundation establishes science practical labs in 15 schools

KARACHI: The Edhi Foundation in collaboration with the District Municipal Corporation (DMC) Karachi South has established science practical labs in 15 schools of the Lyari Zone at the cost of Rs. four million.

This was stated by the Chairman of the DMC, Karachi South, Malik Muhammad Fayyaz, on Monday.

He was speaking at a ceremony at the Gulistan Colony Union Council to name School Number 30/31 after the eminent social worker, Abdus Sattar Edhi.

Malik Fayyaz said that this was a gesture to pay tributes to Sattar Edhi for his outstanding services for the people without any distinction.

He stated that the establishment of the science practical lab was a step towards provision of education to the students in accordance with the present day needs.

The Chairman DMC Karachi South further stated that it was our priority to ensure quality education in the schools in the area.

He said that every effort is being made to promote the standard and quality of education imparted in these schools.

The president of PPP District South, Khalil Houot, Sindh MPA Sania Naz, son of Sattar Edhi- Faisal Edhi, Chairman of DMC Educational Committee, Firdous Khan, Director Education, Abdul Moeez Qazi, Municipal Commissioner, Afaq Saeed, and others were also present on the occasion.

Faisal Edhi and his wife Saba performed the inauguration of the practical lab by cutting the ribbon. (APP)
