ECP decides to deploy Punjab Rangers for PP-23 election

ISLAMABAD: (APP) Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Monday decided that necessary arrangements for providing security will be made by Pakistan Rangers (Punjab) on April 18 in PP-23 Chakwal-IV.
According to the ECP, Pakistan Rangers will be deployed inside and outside all polling stations to assist the Election Commission to conduct elections in a free, fair and transparent manner.
The personnel of Pakistan Rangers will be deployed from April 16 to April 19 on every polling station of the said constituency to assist the polling staff to conduct elections in transparent manner.
The officer In-charge of Pakistan Rangers/JCOs deployed in the constituency have also been delegated with special powers of Magistrate First Class by the commission to be exercised by them on the day of poll. (APP)
