How ECO can help overcoming security issues

ISLAMABAD: (APP) Economist Dr. Alia H. Khan Thursday said that the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) summit would prove helpful in overcoming security issue in region.
Talking to Radio Programme, she said with the improvement in regional connectivity, the economic indicators would also improve.
The theme of the 13th Summit was "Connectivity for Regional Prosperity", which assumed special significance in the backdrop of monumental project of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, she added.
Economist observed that together and with mutual consensus, many issues might be resolved.
The participation of heads of states in the summit conveys a message of solidarity to the world.
The member states focused on intra-region and inter-regions connectivity in energy, infrastructure, transport and trade sectors, she mentioned.
