Deadly suicide blast hits Afghanistan

KABUL- At least eight people have been killed and 15 wounded in an explosion in Jalalabad in Nangarhar province.
Public health officials said eight people have died and at least 15 were wounded in the explosion that reportedly targeted civilians at a demonstration in PD of the city.
Initial reports state it was a suicide bombing, but officials have not yet confirmed this.
The blast happened at about 2.30pm local time.
The demonstrators had gathered in protest against insecurity in Khewa district in the province.
