Curfew imposed in Indian coastal city due communal riots
Curfew has extended in India Coastal city of Bhadrak as communal riot-hit, in view of simmering tensions over objectionable Facebook Posts that had sparked communal violence over the past two days.

India media reported, Odishia's Bhadrak has witnessed violence after some allegedly disparaging comments were posted on the Facebook Page of a RSS-linked Viswa Hindu Parishad Activists agitated and took to the streets, demanding the arrest of the culprits. Several shops in the town were ransacked and set on fire during the protests.

Following communal tension at least four cops, including a DSP and an Inspector, were injured while trying to defuse the situation. At least 60 shops were set on fire while many of them were looted

Power supply and internet services have been disconnected by the district administration. At least 30 platoons of police force have been dispatched to Bhadrak in addition to the 10 platoons already stationed.
