CPEC 12 early harvest projects completion status

Under China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), twelve early harvest energy generation projects including Sahiwal coal fired project, Port Qasim power plant and Karot Hydropower station will be completed by the end of next year.
According to official sources, these energy generation projects will produce over 5000 MW of electricity and help overcome demand supply gap in the country.
Sources said the government is also focusing the mega hydro project of Diamer Bhasha dam which will also enhance water storage capacity of the country.
The land acquisition process for the project has been completed spending 101 billion rupees and project will be completed within 8-10 years.
