Complete Shutdown being observed in IOK against killings of eight civilians

ISLAMABAD: Normal life remains adversely affected across the territory on the second consecutive day, today, due to the protest shutdown against the killing of eight civilians in the firing of Indian forces on peaceful protesters, in Indian occupied Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, call for the strike has been given by the joint resistance leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik.

All shops, businesses establishments and educational institutions remain closed while traffic is off the road.

The puppet authorities have deployed Indian police and paramilitary personnel in strength in Srinagar and other places to stop people from staging anti-India protests over the killing of civilians.

Train services between the Kashmir Valley and Jammu region's Bannihal town also remains suspended.

The Kashmir University has postponed all examinations scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday.

Internet services, both on mobile and fixed landline connections, remain suspended for the third successive day. (APP)
