COAS meets Chinese special envoy to Afghanistan

RAWALPINDI: China’s special envoy to Afghanistan Deng Xijun called on Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Friday.
According to a statement issued by the ISPR, matters of mutual interest including regional security issues with particular emphasis on Pak-Afghan border management and counter-terrorism efforts were discussed during the meeting.
The visiting dignitary appreciated and acknowledged Pakistan Army’s contributions and country’s sacrifices in war against terrorism.
