RAWALPINDI: COAS General Qamar Javaid Bajwa lashed out at India on his first visit to the Line of Control.
Army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa said on Friday that every ceasefire violation along the Line of Control (LoC) will be responded to with full force and in an effective manner.
During a day-long visit to the 10 Corps Headquarters, Rawalpindi, Gen Bajwa said “Each violation of any kind must be responded to with full force in the most effective manner,” Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.
Gen Bajwa said that India’s ‘aggressive posture’ solely aimed to divert the world’s attention from the atrocities being committed by their troops in held Kashmir.
He stressed that the core issue of Kashmir will have to be resolved between the two countries, in line with UN resolutions and aspirations of the people of the valley, for lasting peace in the region.
