COAS chairs Apex Committee session in KPK

PESHAWAR: KPK Apex Committee was held under the chairmanship of Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif here at today (Saturday) and discussed the law and order situation of the province.
According to ISPR, Army Chief chaired a high-level apex committee meeting here at Corps Headquarters Peshawar. Peshawar Corps Commander Lt. Gen. Hadayat ur Rehman, DG ISI Lt. Gen. Rizwan Akhtar, KPK CM Pervaiz Khattak, Governor Zafar Iqbal Jhagra, DG ISPR and other civil military officials participated in the meeting.
Apex Committee meeting discussed the ongoing operation Zarb-e-Azab and security situation of the province while process of rehabilitation of IDPs also came under discussion.
Speaking at the occasion, Army Chief expressed his satisfaction over the achievements of operation Zarb-e-Azab saying that operation will be taken to its logical end.
