CM Shehbaz Sharif takes political opponents to task

LAHORE: (APP) Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif said on Friday that the PML-N government's three years performance was a proof of its commitment to public service, honesty, hard work and transparency.

He said this while talking to members of National and Provincial Assembly of various districts who met him, here.

He said that besides maintaining transparency in public welfare projects, a high standard and speed had also been ensured.

Shehbaz Sharif said that the government had written a new history by saving billions of rupees on development projects.

He said that speed of implementation of development projects being undertaken by the Punjab government had also been appreciated at international level.

A number of uplift projects would be completed during next two years which would benefit the masses directly, he added.

The Chief Minister said that the process of national development and prosperity was continuing under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and the agenda of progress and prosperity of the masses was being speedily implemented.

He said that there was no room for politics of protest or chaos in the country and it was lamentable that some elements were trying to hinder the journey towards development and prosperity.

He said that these elements wanted to hamper the process of development and prosperity of the country only for the achievement of their selfish ends.

Shehbaz Sharif said that the PML-N government was making all out efforts for making Pakistan a developed, peaceful and prosperous country.

He said that people could not be served through mere slogans but practical efforts were required for this purpose.

The Chief Minister stressed upon elected representatives to maintain a close contact with the people and resolve their problems on priority basis.

Those who met the Chief Minister included Members National Assembly Syed Ahmed Khan Manhais and Abdul Rehman Kanju and Member Provincial Assembly Rana Munawar Ghaus.

Mansha Ullah Butt MPA was also present on the occasion.
