BEIJING: China says that Kashmir dispute is a left over issue from history which needs to be resolved through negotiations.
US urges Pakistan, India to avoid escalation on LOC
The sentiments were expressed by Chinese leaders during interaction with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's special envoys on Kashmir Makhdum Khusro Bakhtyar and Alam Dad Laleka who are in Beijing to apprise the Chinese leadership of the current situation in occupied Kashmir.
The Chinese side while expressing concerns over the deteriorating situation in occupied Kashmir said China gives great importance to Pakistan's position on the lingering dispute.

The Chinese side also emphasized dialogue between India and Pakistan for safeguarding regional peace and stability.
