Blasphemous content: Nisar urges Islamic Countries for joint response

Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan says Islamic countries will be consulted to evolve a joint response to blasphemous content on social media.
Addressing a news conference in Islamabad on Wednesday evening, he said a meeting of the ambassadors of Islamic countries in Islamabad has been convened on Friday for the purpose.
The Interior Minister said the issue is a matter of concern for the entire Muslim world and can be tackled through a joint strategy. He said the issue will also be raised at the forum of Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
He said freedom of expression has a limit. He said strict action will be taken against uploading of blasphemous content on social media
Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said Facebook has expressed its willingness to send a delegation to Pakistan to address the issue.
Regarding involvement of cricket players in spot-fixing, he said FIA and PCB will coordinate to investigate the matter. He said all those involved in it will be taken to task.
