Beijing will take US Anti-Missile Defence System in Korea as threat to National Security: Officials

United States has warned North Korea any use of nuclear weapons by would be met with an effective and overwhelming response.
US Defence Secretary James Mattis who is in South Korea, has assured Seoul of America's continuing support.
He also reconfirmed plans to deploy a US missile defence system in South Korea later this year.
Meanwhile, China has resolutely opposed deployment of a U.S. anti-missile defense system in South Korea.
Chinese foreign ministry spokesman, Lu Kang told news briefing in Beijing that deployment of this system threatens China's own security and will do nothing to ease tension on the Korean peninsula.
