Bangladesh government seriously accuses Chief justice of heinous crimes and Corruption

DHAKA - In Bangladesh, the government has accused the country's Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha of indulging in serious crimes, including corruption.

The accusations against Chief Justice follow widespread speculation that he had come under pressure to take leave over a landmark verdict delivered by the court against the government in August.

The statement said Bangladesh President Abdul Hamid had called four top judges of the Supreme Court to palace and handed over the documents on "11 specific allegations" against Sinha, including money laundering, financial irregularities, corruption and moral degradation.
