Baluchistan government extends FC Police powers for another three months

QUETTA: Baluchistan government has extended the powers of Frontier Corps for another three months. The special powers had been given to FC for maintaining law and order situation in Quetta. As per details, the special powers of FC had expired recently that’s why Provincial government extended its powers for another three months. Frontier Corps now can use its special powers till February 2016. The notification also has been issued by the provincial government in this regard. "The government decided to grant policing powers to FC to maintain order," the source said. The extension was extended due to the rise of targeted killings in Quetta. Officials said.
