Back off with dignity or Chinese Army will kick you out, warning for India

BEIJING: A Chinese newspaper editorial on Wednesday urged the Indian Military to back off from the Donglang area otherwise Chinese troops would kick them out.
“We firmly believe that the face-off in the Donglang area will end up with the Indian troops in retreat. The Indian military can choose to return to its territory with dignity, or be kicked out of the area by Chinese soldiers,” read the editorial of Global Times.
The piece further stated that the provocations by the Indian Army were angering the Chinese people and that if both countries were to battle, then India would incur more losses than it did in the 1962 Sino-India war.
“If New Delhi believes that its military might can be used as leverage in the Donglang area, and it’s ready for a two-and-a-half front war, we have to tell India that the Chinese look down on their military power. Jaitley is right that the India of 2017 is different from that of 1962 – India will suffer greater losses than in 1962 if it incites military conflicts,” read the piece.
The editorial called on the international community to rein in India on intimidating its neighbour Bhutan and violating international law. The editorial also called for peace to prevail and the two countries to diplomatically settle the crisis but warned New Delhi that Beijing would not give in to its ‘unruly demands’.
“This time, we must teach New Delhi a bitter lesson,” concluded the piece.
