Azadi Train leaves Peshawar for Rawalpindi

The special Azadi train left Peshawar for Rawalpindi on Sunday morning. 

Speaker Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Asad Qaiser, Deputy Commissioner Peshawar Saqib Raza Aslam, Divisional Superintendent Pakistan Railway Hanif Gul and a large number of people saw off the train.

Speaking on the occasion, the speaker appreciated efforts of Pakistan Railway for displaying historic pictures in the train.

Referring to China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), the speaker said it will usher new era of development and prosperity.

Radio Pakistan Peshawar correspondent reports that the Azadi train will reach Karachi on 25th of this month after passing through different cities.
