Ayesha Gulalai disqualification case completes in IHC

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Tuesday reserved its judgment on an intra-court appeal challenging a single judge bench decision terming the plea seeking disqualification of Ayesha Gulalai as Member of the National Assembly non-maintainable.

The LHC bench comprising Justice Athir Minallah and Justice Miangul Hassan Aurenzeb reserved the verdict after hearing the arguments placed by petitioner Kulsoom Khalid Advocate in person.

The petitioner apprised the court that Ayesha was elected MNA on the ticket of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), but she had not so far resigned from the party after levelling allegations against his party chairman, Imran Khan without any proof.

It may be mentioned that Ayesha Gulalai Wazir, who announced to leave Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) during a press conference last month, had accused Imran Khan of sending indecent text messages to her.
