ATFI to start protests in Kolkata from March 14 onwards against Indo-Pak cricket match

NEW DELHI: ATFI claimed to start protests in Kolkata including Eden Garden, Team hotels and Airports against Indo-Pak cricket match from March 14 onwards.

 

ATFI president Viresh Shandilya claimed that it is the insult of our soldiers and we will prevent the match from happening at any cost.

 

He said “Hosting the Pakistan is an insult to all brave soldiers who died in attacks, we have written to the [West Bengal] chief minister urging her not to allow any kind of arrangements including security for the match.”

 

He claimed that we will dig up the Eden Garden pitch and also seek the intervention of Union Home Ministery to prevent the match.

 

The message was delivered by Viresh Shandilya in a video.

 

Pakistan cricket team is continuously receiving threats from Hindu extremist organizations.

 

Hindu extremist Shiv Sena is also active to stop the two countries from playing match.

 

Shiv Sena chief Uddav Thackery claimed to stop the match through using hand grenades.

 

The match was scheduled to be played in Dharamshala but venue shifted to Kolkata by ICC due to security concerns.

 

Pakistan will play a warm up match against Sri Lanka on Monday.

 

Pakistan will play its first match of the event against Bangladesh on March 16 and the 2^nd most important match against its arch-rival India on March 19.
