Assets case: Chaudhry brothers appears before NAB today

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) leaders Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi have on Friday reached the office of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to appear before the anti-graft watchdog.

The NAB had asked the PML-Q leaders to appear before the accountability watchdog in person and divulge their asset and income information.

Earlier they were directed to appear at the NAB’s Lahore office on November 6 and provide details of their assets and sources of income.

The anti-graft watchdog had launched an investigation against Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi for possession of assets beyond known sources of income. They were also incriminated for alleged misuse of authority and funds worth Rs2.43 billion.
