Asif Zardari speaks about his relations with ex COAS - ISI Chief

KARACHI: Co Chairman Pakistan People's Party and Ex President Asif Ali Zardari has spoken at length about a number of issues in his recent interaction with the private TV Channel.
Former president Asif Ali Zardari on Sunday said it did not affect him how many of his men disappeared, however he was deeply concerned about safety of Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
“I am worried about Bilawal’s life. I stop him from going outside due to security risk, but he would not listen to me,” he said in a statement.
He said the establishment used to accede to his opinions most of the time during his tenure and civilians were not even touched. They were trying to scare those coming towards him, he said citing towards disappearance of his aides.
Zardari said he used to take former army chief general (retd) Pervez Kayani and former Inter Services Intelligence chief Ahmed Shuja Pasha into confidence, while taking decisions.
Shunning the notion that he had made a deal with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, he said had he made any deal with the government he would not have spent 13 years in jail.
He also took a jibe at the prime minister for taking credit of China Pakistan Economic Corridor project and nuclear technology.
“I had signed CPEC project,” he said.
