Asif Zardari refuses to meet PM Nawaz Sharif

LONDON: Former President and PPP leader Asif Ali Zardari refused to meet Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and to support over Panama Leaks conflict.

Zardari claimed that Nawaz Sharif has to face all the problems alone and PPP will support the other political parties if it feel any threat to democracy.

Zardari said “Nawaz Sharif will have to decide himself on the issue of corruption.”

“The PPP will stand with other political parties if there was any threat to democracy,” he added.

He also directed his party to give a tough time to government over corruption scandal.

Zardari’s statement came after the remarks of PPP leader Aitzaz Ahsan who claimed that Nawaz Sharif is going to meet Asif Ali Zardari to seek his support.

He said “Nawaz Sharif is going to London on a one-point mission to meet PPP leader Asif Ali Zardari and plead for his support.”

However, PM Office refused Aitzaz Ahsan’s statement.

PM’s spokesman Mussadaq Malik said “The PM did not express desire to meet the PPP leadership during his upcoming London visit.”
